Dirty Water Brass Band, a Boston-based undefinable raucous street band, a staunch contributor to the many grooves that make this town tick.
We bring our movable block party to you, doesn’t matter where. Our style is eclectic, a mix of second line, soul, R&B, motown, rock, jazz and more.
Dirty Water performs in the Boston and surrounding areas of New England, with a particular penchant for playing outdoors. We are unplugged and mobile, giving us the flexibility to jump into many local parades and participate in many annual outdoor events such as the renowned PorchFest and HONK! festivals based in Somerville.
The band has grown from initially 5 members to as many as 11. And we do NOT "have to be in by twelve o'clock!"
